gumnuts, polished/unpolished bronze-casts, and earrings

this series began with collecting fallen gumnuts; tiny husks often stepped over without thought. by casting them in polished bronze, the fragile and mortal is transformed into something enduring and precious. these works are about care for the small, the overlooked, the details of a landscape that often slip away. magic is found in paying attention, and through slow making, even the smallest forms can become symbols of quiet wonder.
